Objective

To have a long term and significant impact on the community.

Description

Kunming (population 5 million) is the provincial capital of Yunnan province, which borders with Myanmar, Laos, and Vietnam to the south. At an elevation of 1,891m, the city enjoys a delightfully moderate climate year-round. Because of its favorable natural conditions, agriculture is a dominant industry.

Background

Yang Chye, together with a group of Christians, have bought a piece of land in Kunming to focus on olive oil-centered agriculture, trading and training. The vision is to be a model farm and the best-run olive grove that is dedicated to quality in the olive business while providing an enduring economic future and a holistic lifestyle for employees and surrounding communities. The farm is conveniently sited near a new international airport and has great potential for developing other farm related activities. For more information, please visit www.oliveconnexions.com .

We believe this is a sustainable model that will have a significant impact to the community. It is an investment that will help generate economic growth and provide more job opportunities.
